Carbon Fiber Machining

About Carbon Fiber Machining

A matching service for carbon fiber parts. Not a machine shop, not a marketplace.

What we do

Buyers send one RFQ with a DXF, STEP file or drawing. We read it, work out what kind of carbon work it is (plate routing, tube machining or trimming of molded parts) and send it to up to 3 shops that do that work every day. The shops quote the buyer directly. Price, terms and delivery are agreed between the buyer and the shop.

How we pick shops

  • They cut carbon fiber as regular work, with the cutters, backing and dust extraction the material needs.
  • Their machines fit the part: bed size, thickness range, tube capacity or 5-axis reach.
  • They reply to buyers quickly and decline work they cannot hold.
  • They sign an NDA when the buyer asks for one.

What we do not do

  • We do not machine parts and we do not own machines.
  • We do not send your drawing to a crowd. Up to 3 shops, fewer if fewer fit.
  • We do not take a commission on your order and we do not sit between you and the shop.
  • We do not charge buyers.

How our guides are written

The guides on this site are written for engineers and buyers who have a carbon part to make. Every number is labelled typical and is a planning value, not a promise. Material and process facts are checked against published standards, handbooks and maker datasheets, and each guide lists the sources it was reviewed against. When a shop or a reader points out an error, we correct the guide and change its updated date.

Worked examples are hypothetical and say so. We do not publish client names, testimonials or case studies we cannot show.
